2022 Saskatoon Event Schedule
There are a lot of events planned for this summer. Playing in these events is a great way to meet fellow disc golfers, and also support the community. Profits from these events are used to support further course development.
Even if you’re not playing in all of these events though (why wouldn’t you?) — you might be interested to know which days our courses will be busy. Here’s a list of events that are on the schedule so far.
Spring Membership Drive – May 14th @ Diefenbaker
This is the event that absolutely everyone should be signing up for. We’ll be playing alternate basket locations at Diefenbaker. The price of admission to this event also gets you a Saskatoon Disc Golf Membership for the summer, which entitles you to discounts at our various sponsor businesses around the city. It’s a bargain!
The USAMPC is back. The winners of the local brackets will get and invite to the championship bracket in Emporia, Kansas. No Provincial bracket this year.
Brackets are made up of 8 players, single elimination. Each player will receive 2 discs with entry. A Latitude 64 Triple Burst Gold Ballista Pro and a Dynamic Discs Prime Moonshine Culprit.
Saskatoon Junior Program – Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM @ Diefenbaker
From May 14th to July 13th Saskatoon Disc Golf will be coaching the fundamentals of Disc Golf from 6:30 – 8 PM. The sessions are aimed at Junior disc golfers, but parents are also welcome.
Gophertown 2022 League – Thursday nights at @ Diefenbaker/Reid
Our long-running summer league will expanding this year to span several nights. See the schedule here
Escape Sports Open – June 25-26th – Diefenbaker
The Escape Sports Open is going to be our flagship PDGA sanctioned tournament for the summer. If you’re at all interested in the competitive Disc Golf scene in Saskatoon this is your event. We’ll be releasing more details about this event later this spring.
Summer Solstice – July 9 – Diefenbaker
This is our annual night-round event. We’ll be bringing basket lighting to Diefenbaker and encouraging folks to play in the dark. The first round of the event will start at 6PM, and we’ll play a second round starting at 11PM. If you’ve never played a night round this is the time to try!
This year Saskatoon will be hosting an event as part of the National Amateur Disc Golf Tour! This will be a PDGA C-tier event hosted at Diefenbaker park.
